Hello,

I just installed JA Resume quickstart, but I’m with some problems to customize.

I start changing some things, but when i get to the Site webpage and refresh, nothing happened for a while. Is something to be with developing mode?

Because it really takes to long to apply the changes, and like this, I don’t know if I’m changing the right things.

Can someone help me?

And the http://novo.sjtexteis.pt take me to one site, and when I click in the logo it takes me to another… humm

Thanks for the reply.

I spent some more time moving around the template, and the changes are working, but just take to long to apply.

For example:
In the template base I changed the base color to blue, like it is in your screenshot, and also the letters SJ… Then I refresh the website page, and nothing changed… And then after a while, I don’t know exactly how much time, the website is like I want…

But that is not good… because I want to change and try again with different things, and I need to wait really much to see how it looks in the website.

Hi
Kindly check if your site is using any kind of caching that can be issue. Joomla cache or server cache.
You have to clean cache to see the changes.

In: Global Configuration – System – Cache Configuration
Cache – Is turned off

I’m working on Firefox… And I also tried to clean the browser cache and nothing. Only after a few minutes, I could see the changes.

The theme has the Development mode – ON.

I don’t need every time i make some change to click in " LESS to CSS", right?

Can u give me details of your changes? where and what u changing with path.
Compile Less to css needed when u turned off the development mode so it will override less style code in css.

Ok, now I’m trying to change the menu names, in main menu.

I refresh the site page, and nothing. I have done what you said – clean the cache in Joomla, and after that I can see the changes.

But why? Is not normal. I really need to clean the cache after every move i make?

Cache is off, you think is better to turn ON
Conservative caching or Progressive caching?

Make sure server cache is not ON. I tried changes in fresh package and i am not able to replicate this issue .

the cache plugin was ON, I just disabled it now it will not cache the page and you will see changes.

Yes, you can use conservative cache and turn on cache plugin too. It helps you to load site fast.
And when u make changes just clean cache .
