June 21, 2007 at 6:10 pm #120987hi,
I,m trying now for several days to work out how to handle this temp- and when i visit the form most of the questions lift with out answers , i don’t wanna 2 tem twice month , i wanna i template that it works 100%, here is some of what i got after using your (User’s Guide):3. Screen Resolution Configuration
JA Rochea allow you to set 3 types of screen resolution. You can easily config JA Rochea template’s width by modifying the Template Configurations part in the “ja_Rochea/index.php”.
To choose which screen’s width you want to use, go to the 28th line of the “ja_Rochea/index.php” file and change the value of $ja_width_default to ‘wide’ (1024×768), ‘narrow’ (800×600) and ‘auto’ fluid width.
>:( if you chose auto and no 4 for ja_tool your site will go blink
4. Font Resizer Configuration
You can also configurate the font resizer function. Go to “ja_Rochea/index.php” and replace the value of $ja_font_size_default to the size you want. You can choose the font size ranged from 1 upto 6.
>:( it didn’t work , if you put 1 your site goes blink
———————————————-
6. Tools ConfigurationTo enable/disable the font and resolution resizer, you can use the variable $ja_tool in the 30th line
Set to 0 to disable all, 1 to enable resolution, 2 to enable font tool and 3 to enable both resolution and font, 4 to enable only color, 5 is to enable color and resolution, 6 is to enable color and font and 7 is enable all.
>:( if you disable it ,,,, your site will get mix—————————————————————————————————————————–
9-Manage header banners
If you want to create new header banner for your site, you have to create 3 images like images in templates/ja_rochea/images/headers/ folder.
Name of images are: sh<number>-bg1.jpg, sh<number>-bg2-wide.jpg, sh<number>-bg2-narrow.jpg
For example: sh04-bg1.jpg, sh04-bg2-wide.jpg, sh04-bg2-narrow.jpg
After that, open your index.php file to add name of your header banner in line 25:
 >:( IT looks that it didn’t work with Link url ) see @ .. http://www.muslimproperty.co.uk
——————————————————————————————————————————-
I don’t wanna add more , this temp full of ….b…..u……..g…..s.. and before you but it to download you should really tested it ,,,,,

June 22, 2007 at 3:01 am #222554Make sure that when you change the settings, you clear your cache. It is possible that it’s remembered from the tool selection.

September 17, 2007 at 7:05 am #229551It works in IE 6 and FF 2.0 for me at least ( on 2 different sites ) and I have no problems with anything. So I don’t understand the “concerns” some people have here. Well, I guess it also boils down to users and how to setup the templates?
September 17, 2007 at 8:42 am #229554Well after one month and a week waisted on searching the right solution – but don’t get me wrong there : the templates are awesome over here – I fixed the IE6 issue myself. Rochea acts weird if the site is offline. Everything is going back to order once it’s online. But I really believed that one of the big advantages of joomla cms was to be able to browse the site offline while in development. It is obviously not the case with this template.
Everything was f* up – especially the modules – with Rochea. No ones has been reactive enough to tell me at least ” i don’t know”. I have paid for this template which is described as compatible with IE in the “Cross Browser Support” specs, so the “boiling” effect is logical.
If the codes are “well commented”, the user guides often refers to a different template than the one in use and are most of the time incomplete with missing pictures. Sounds fair if I am furious ? no ? well tell me if I’m missing something ( anyway that will be a bit late now…).

September 20, 2007 at 8:32 am #229708I’m pretty annoyed with the template too, support here is sporadic verging on the non existent. The template is supposed to be compatible with IE6 and to an extent it is unless you want to display anything clickable in the top module position – in which case the links won’t work, so just what you’re supposed to use this important module position for I’m not sure
I asked for support back in July and was told to post a link to my site…..it’s now mid September and I’m still waiting. >:(

September 20, 2007 at 8:59 am #229713Well, I installed Rochea for a client and it works very well (http://www.alashraminteriors.com). Also I managed to make a Gamer themed Rochea, wich also works well in IE6 (http://demo.swemmelaar.nl).
In my opinion a lot of problems are caused, because people have only a little to no knowledge of Joomla, CSS and php.
Kind Regards,
Peter

September 20, 2007 at 9:30 am #229715It’s working in IE6 because you don’t have any hyperlinks in the top module postion – what I’m saying is you can use the top mod to display news but not with a link for the user to read more of it, which renders it pretty useless. eg: In your test demo you’ve got displayed “New patch can be downloaded!!” ideally for the user this should also contain a link to the download but if you were to add a link then for users of IE6 (still around 37% of internet users) that link would not be clickable.
