October 10, 2007 at 2:58 am #230877Why don’t you give it a try?
I haven’t test it on Mambo yet as the design team built it for Joomla! 🙂perdu Friendperdu

October 11, 2007 at 2:21 am #230918I strongly recommend to switch to Joomla from Mambo. You definitely want to do that, especially when the J!1.5 stable is coming very soon 🙂

October 14, 2007 at 12:40 pm #231029Yes i’ve got it kind of working on Mambo the only problem I’ve got is the ja newsflash which keeps publishing the following: (which was actually the reason for asking the original question)
JA Flasher
Warning: main(globals.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /web/modules/ja_newsflash/ja-newsflashloader.php on line 25
Fatal error: main() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘globals.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /web/modules/ja_newsflash/ja-newsflashloader.php on line 25you will see I have a couple of other posts relating to this, but not had any luck in resolving yet. hence why I was scanning the joomlart website looking for some reference to mambo to see if its compatible.
On that point I started with Mambo and went to Joomla and now I’m back with Mambo !
To be honest I’d rather just stay with one CMS but it seems that Joomla are not going to support EZRealty with 1.5, which is a real pain for me. I don’t understand why they are turning there back on commercial components such as ezrealtyHowever having listened to joomla jabber podcast and a few other sources I’ve heard mambo is being re-constructed and making a come back – who really knows ?
So thats the background as to why I’m raising concerns about not getting ja newsflash working – having said that it could be something very simple that I’ve configured incorrectly, but I have checked and re-checked
Any help appreciated, beacuse I think this template is real find and I want to use all its features on this and many more sites.
Thanks

October 19, 2007 at 6:39 am #231217Have you tried the extensions.joomla.org? What about the newsflash stuff from joomlaworks.gr? Perhaps that could be useful?
