may be the site is have some conflicting css , pls open the file template.css and find the following code:

.button {
background: url(../images/grad1.gif) repeat-x top #333333;
border: 1px solid #333333;
color: #d5d5d5;
font-size: 85%;
padding: 3px 5px;
text-transform: uppercase;
}

replace

.button {
background: url(../images/grad1.gif) repeat-x top #333333 !important;
border: 1px solid #333333;
color: #d5d5d5;
font-size: 85%;
padding: 3px 5px;
text-transform: uppercase;
}

I have no images in the css folder! ..

Pls add the following code inside the templates/ja_seleni/css/colors/red.css file:

.poll .button {
background:url(“../../images/grad1.gif”) repeat-x scroll center bottom #440000;
border:1px solid #220000;
color:#FFFFFF;
text-transform:uppercase;
}
