    Does the JA Side News Module display in any module position? So far, the only position it correctly displays in is the Sidenews position. The Sidenews module places the three images on top and at the bottom of the slideshow images. I’d rather it display in a position below the Slideshow module.

    The modules Layout configuration setting is set to Side News since the Default setting doesn’t display correctly.

    You can do this with CSS. I tried it but it didn’t look very good or so I thought. But then I didn’t reduce the size of the slideshow. There is also a .png underneath it for the fading.

    If I remember it is called sidenews wrapper but you can check that in the class suffix in the module.

    The problem is that the module positions available through the backend (i.e. masshead) don’t display the side news module correctly. Is the module only meant to be positioned in the ‘side news’ position?

    I looked at the modules css, but don’t think it defines module position?

    I’m sorry, I can’t remember. I was playing using Chrome, right click, inspect elements and then found it, moved it using margins and thought no!

    My site is now live with CSS compression on so it won’t give me a real file. Try Firebug or Chrome to locate and then you can test it without editing any files.

    Also I thought there was also a slideshow2 position on the template too? Tried that rather than change the CSS?

    Thanks, I did try position slideshow2 but, like mass head, doesn’t display correctly. Same thing with User positions 9, 10, 11, 12, etc.
    No luck, and not sure why?

    I’ve been using firebug, so I’ll check more thoroughly regarding a position setting.

    Thanks for the advice.

    Very very very quick and dirty playing with the template….I’m NO CSS guru.

    Take backups of both files so that you can restore.

    mod-jasidenews.css around line 14

    div.ja-sidenews-wrap {
    bottom: -198px;
    left: 30px;
    margin: 0;
    padding: 0;
    position: absolute;
    z-index: 100;
    }

    template.css around line 621

    #ja-container .main .main-inner2 {
    padding: 20px 30px 0 30px;
    margin-top: 198px;
    }

    Could be a starting point for you to play.

    Thanks – I’ve learnt something too!
