Hi

Joomla 2.5
JA_University T3v2
JA Content Slider
Each K2 item have personal menu item.
Each Joomla content have personal menu item.

Module JA Content Slider
For K2 elements i see correct short url by menu alias. All OK.

But Joomla content i see long url (not personal menu alias / only alias of category and elements).
Module ignore personal menu item on content element.

ON PAGE (domainname/new-homepage-2015)
For example (in sitemap and search results) i see
domainname/ua/proektna-diyalnist/mizhnarodni-proekti/proekt-ukrajina-norvegiya

BUT in module i see
domainname/ua/new-homepage-2015/327-krokivski-budni-proekti/783-proekt-ukrajina-norvegiya

Why module ignored personal content Itemid in joomla category BUT correct work with personal content Itemid in K2 category?
Can you help me to fix this bug with uncorrect URL in module?

Your question is a bit difficult to understand. I don’t understand about personal menu item you mentioned above, you can give me the screenshot and how can I duplicate this bug. I will help you out.

Hi Ninja Lead

For example with JA Content Slider (url of elements).
Joomla! 2.5.28 / JA_University 1.0.6 / (JA T3 Framework 2.7.1) / JA Content Slider 2.7.2
(1) Create new joomla category “Test Slider Category”.
(2) Create 2 new article in that new category (Article 1, Article 2) with images.
(3) Add new menu item for each article (type “Single Article”).
– menu item “alias-1” for Article 1
– menu item “alias-2” for Article 2
(4) Preset module JA Content Slider for
– “Select Source = Joomla Content”
and
– “Categories Selection = Test Slider Category”.

After it you will see on page in module position images with url.
In MENU and SEARCH RESULTS you will see url as
http://domainname/lang/alias-1
http://domainname/lang/alias-2

BUT in module you will see OTHER url.

In MY SITE i see correct url of page (in mod_menu and results of search)
http://domainname/lang/menualias-500/menualias-510/menualias-520
But in module
http://domainname/lang/homepage-alias/201-category-alias/menualias-520/3-article-alias

You can see the difference between the url.

This trouble in module ONLY with Joomla Content.
In K2 url menu and url in module without difference.

In Joomla, if you want to view article individually, that article must be assigned to a menu item. Pls create a new menu item (or use an existing one) and assign article (or category that article belongs to) to this new menu item and also make sure that you don’t assign any module to this menu item

In this case, you create new menu item with Menu Item Type: Category Blog and “Test Slider Category” category

This is my OLD TEST site.
http://2013new2.krok.edu.ua/ua/

I have joomla Article and menu item as Single Article.
And for example below JA Content Slider module i publish MENU MODULE with that menu item.
We can see DIFFERENT URL between IMAGE and MENU.
In menu item below JA Content Slider module URL =
http://2013new2.krok.edu.ua/ua/ministerstvo-osviti-i-nauki-ukrajini
And in search results
http://2013new2.krok.edu.ua/ua/rezultati-poshuku?searchword=%D0%9C%D1%96%D0%BD%D1%96%D1%81%D1%82%D0%B5%D1%80%D1%81%D1%82%D0%B2%D0%BE%20%D0%BE%D1%81%D0%B2%D1%96%D1%82%D0%B8&ordering=newest&searchphrase=exact&limit=20&areas[0]=content
you can see CORRECT URL too
http://2013new2.krok.edu.ua/ua/ministerstvo-osviti-i-nauki-ukrajini

BUT in JA Content Slider module URL bad =
http://2013new2.krok.edu.ua/ua/golovna-storinka/83-pro-krok/nashi-partneri/15-ministerstvo-osviti-i-nauki-ukrajini

Module generates a link to the item is not as it makes Joomla.

This is situation ONLY with Joomla Article.
With K2+menu JA Content Slider module works OK (URL elements the same).

I checked from result search form and see the link detail in article #5 does now work either, from this link: http://2013new2.krok.edu.ua/ua/zovnishni-sajti/28-ministerstvo-osviti-i-nauki-ukrajini it will be auto referenced to http://www.mon.gov.ua/

and all links under JA Content Slider module have that same error

JA Content Slider module did not change or custom about link from article, it only loads default like link from JOOMLA default. You need to check about reference to other link on your site again

This is NOT reference. And this is not error.
This is redirect 301 string in .htaccess

Redirect 301 /ua/golovna-storinka/83-pro-krok/nashi-partneri/15-ministerstvo-osviti-i-nauki-ukrajini /ua/zovnishni-sajti?task=weblink.go&id=28

Because this is PARTNERS logo and redirect on partners site.
And com_weblinks have counter for statistics.

BUT redirect in .htaccess change not url of article on homepage.
And your screen example show com_weblinks elements with same title (not com_content).

I can create NEW QUICKSTART CLEAR TEST SITE only for test this situation with JA Content Slider.
And inform you about results.

Results of test.

(1) new test site – quickstart joomla 2.5 t3v2 – works OK (w/o language preset = All)
(2) new test site – quickstart joomla 3.3 t3 – works OK (w/o language preset = All)
(3) I rename main joomla 2.5 t3v2 htaccess file,
switch off SEF and redirects in global config,
remove article in new other category,
search menu item in admin and SQL base,
UNINSTALL and INSTALL module again. No results.

For example long URL
On page with menu (Itemid=596)
MODULE URL
http://DOMAINNAME/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=528:ministerstvo-osviti-i-nauki-ukrajini&catid=261:nashi-partneri-test2&Itemid=596&lang=ua

but mod_menu URL
http://DOMAINNAME/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=528&Itemid=2482&lang=ua

module used only itemid of show page.

But i create NEW ARTICLE (as before) in new category again. And new menu with other alias.
ENABLE htaccess, SEF and REDIRECTS.
And category menu as blog.
Module works correct! Joomla url correct. url module = url menu.
Unbelievable. 😉
I saw that error from start of template on clear site very long time.

P.S. My thread title: “JA Side News Module (ignored personal menu item alias)” not correct.
I mean JA Content Slider.
