Problem once again!

When updating to joomla 3.4.0 the module JA Side News loses three menu/settings tab.

Image Settings
Advanced

It has started to become very frustrating trying to do simple tasks and getting problems!!!!!!

Look at the screenshot below

I tested JA Sidenews module with JOOMLA 3.4 and it’s working fine, you can change and make sure JA Sidenews module is working with latest module

This is gettine more and more frustrating now!

You are telling me without chencking that the module is fine???

You can look in the screen shot you sent me that you are missing 3 Tabs from the settings. Not 1! BUT 3

Look at my screenshot where the joomla version is 3.3.6 as i previously said and you will realize the problem! Look at the differance between my screenshot and yours!

I am a member since 2008. I don’t like nagging, but I don’t like getting a response like this. I have checked before sending this request.

I am using the latest module update! Try and use joomla 3.3.6 with the latest module update. Then look at the module! Then try to update to joomla 3.4.0 and you will see the 3 tabs missing!

Dear Joomlart Team,

I am still waiting for a response to this issue. Which is NOT a personal issue! I am sure that others might have the same problem when updating to Joomla 3.4.0, they just haven’t realized the problem, because maybe they didn’t checked this module after updating from 3.3.6 to 3.4.0.
Please, if anybody faces the same issue, please report it.

Can’t you (joomlart) at least accept that there is a problem? and that you are going to issue an update for this module to fix the problem???????????

Bottom-line is that I won’t update my joomlart subscription when it expires.

I got the problem on your site. You can try to use my solution below to fix the problem on your site

Open modules/mod_jasidenews/asset/elements/japanel.php file

find and change


defined('_JEXEC') or die( 'Restricted access' );

jimport('joomla.form.formfield');


to


defined('_JEXEC') or die( 'Restricted access' );

jimport('joomla.form.formfield');
JHTML::_('behavior.framework', true);
