I’m keeping all components updated via ja-ext-manager.
If JA Side News is updated to v2.5.2, it breaks. The issue is easy to spot since all Side News content will appear as garbage.
Reverting back to 2.5.1 fixes it immediately.

Tested using the default template included in Anion.

Hi mkaz,

I checked on a demo of Ja anion j2.5 but I am not much sure or even did not see the problem as mentioned, would you mind update it then post here the url where the issue can be seen ?

Dear Dat Hoang,
I just have JA Anion installed locally for testing, it is not accessible from the outside therefore I can’t supply a URL for testing.
Further investigation revealed that the issue is related to both Side News and Bulletin and a display but in ext-manager.
Seems that if both components are not updated together, the issue appears.
The issue causes the page to load, initially news start to show correctly but then break, resulting in the following to appear in the news section on the right (see below).

ja-manager was misleading me with the version numbers. Seems that JA Bulletin 2.5.1 does not properly announce the version. Right now ext-manager shows: version: 2.5.0 and in the next line: You have successfully upgraded from version 2.5.0 to version 2.5.1 at 02 Apr 2012, 13:54:09
This may be caused by a rollback I had performed after I noticed that the news were breaking. Even if upgrading again, the version is not reported correctly.

Using Chrome, the Bulletin/News section appears now fine. Using IE9 the icons of ‘Popular’ and ‘Latest’ do not show correctly.
Again, default installation with default content from the download.
