I’m using JoomArt Extensions Manager to automatically update Joomlart extensions and modules.
This works fine for all extensions except ‘JA Side News’, which is included in Anion for Joomla 1.6

Last time I updated, Side News was updated to version 1.0.2
This is strange by itself because the download page of Side News for Joomla 1.6 shows version 1.0.1 as the last version.

When I enter now Extensions Manager, the current version is 1.0.2. Check for updates states now ‘New Version found!’ and offers 3 choices: 1.0.0, 1.0.1 and 1.1.1
After clicking ‘Upgrade now’ on the 1.1.1 line, Extensions manager shows ‘Successfully upgraded to version 1.1.1’.
Entering Extensions Manager again shows 1.0.2 again as the current version.

Could it be that your module/version database somehow mismatches the Side News versions, causing this strange behaviour?

    Any fix?

    Thanks,
    Michael

    Hello mate,

It’s a problem of us, since the version 1.0.2 has been renamed to 1.1.1.
And the version 1.0.2 is no longer exists. So it will be understood as invalid version.
So that if your current version is 1.0.2, when you check update, you will see all versions as newer versions.

–> After clicking ‘Upgrade now’ on the 1.1.1 line, Extensions manager shows ‘Successfully upgraded to version 1.1.1’.
Entering Extensions Manager again shows 1.0.2 again as the current version.

It’s a problem of our test team, since version in xml file of this module for version 1.1.1 is still 1.0.2.
I’m sorry about that, I’ll report to test team to update it.

    Thanks for your report.
