Why does the more details link on the JA sidenews module show the requested article below the list of displayed stories. I would like them to show in a different window (full screen) or at least on top of the page above the listed stories in the news feed. I’ve provided examples below. heeeelp.

January 15, 2016 at 1:29 am #848225Hi
When u click on More details it open that article .
In Joomla if a article or category does not associated to a menu it will open on the home page . Same happening on your site .Checkout the url of article > http://prntscr.com/9q8vj6
You can see the category does not associated to a menu . Add the category in blog menu type Menu item . so when u open article it will open on that menu not on homepage.January 21, 2016 at 6:21 pm #864603Pankay,
The articles on this page are appearing on the home page associated this news feed. I’m ok with this situation. My issue is once more details is clicked the article appears under the listed articles in the feed and the viewers will have to scroll down. Not all articles need to appear as a menu item or associated with a menu at all. I just need them to show above the other articles in the feed when more details or even the title of the article is clicked.

Like this article > http://www.grps.org/innovationcentral/186-high-schools/innovation-central/innovation-central-main/493-bosch-donating-power-tools-to-academy-of-design-and-constructionHere u can see the 186-high-schools does not associate to me item . There are different category and its Joomla behavior . If an article or its category is associated to category blog or single article then Joomla will show it normal .
You can check in demo too news-events is menu and article open on the page .January 22, 2016 at 6:19 pm #865617I’m still not understanding how to correct the issue. What exactly do I have to change in order for an article not associated with a menu item to be displayed on top of the feeds or as a stand alone article when more details or an article title is clicked. I do not want any articles to be displayed until one is selected from via the jsidenews news and events module. There is no need for every article to be associated with a menu item so I’m still lost. When I switched the type to category blog it puts the article the category under the News and Events feed and still places the selected articles on the bottom. See my example below. I included a screen shot of my menu item settings. Please let me know exactly what I need to change to make this happen.
