February 12, 2012 at 12:14 am #437990Feel free to carry on swissa and I am glad you have some information in your footer. We love to have users onboard helping out where they can.
Not that you are one of these, but we have had some very worrying users in the past. Some have even pretended to be staff then have IMHO extorted money from users. We try to stamp on those very quickly. If you had been one of those you would not have reached 425+ posts. After seeing some of the really bad ones in the past I get all twitchy when people hand out their ftp and admin details.
Oh, and I am sure you know that we can only deal with rain here in the UK, anything different and we go into a state of shock. At least that is what our useless media seem to portray.
Raincheck,
While 777 will work, on some servers it is not recommended. It all depends on your hosting but I am sure you are aware of that. If you have root access then the CHOWN command is a great tool to get to know. If you give the directory the right ownership then 777 should not be needed. Glad you have it fixed though and be sure to come back and show us your finished work. Tiris is one of my favourite templates and I love seeing what people are doing with it.

First thanks for your reply, checked the permissions and 755 is and was set for all..</blockquote>
Please follow the directions I gave out to you before:
In the Administrative area – Please go to SITES > SYSTEM INFORMATION > DIRECTORY PERMISSIONS.You have 30 folders that are still showing
unwritable! 🙂
Until this is corrected, you will continue to have problems. You are hacking your system when you may not need too.
Any changing of your code until this is corrected, may do more harm than good.Permissions as a rule: Files = 644 and Directories = 755
Have fun!February 13, 2012 at 5:06 pm #438221I need to join this discussion, because i am having problems with my slideshow too.

Sincerily and thanks in advance,

February 15, 2012 at 8:31 am #438401Armando,
Please could you PM me an admin account and an ftp account so one of the devs can take a look. As explained in the PM chat we had, I have little experience of multi language sites so I have asked for help from one of our experienced dev’s.
