    Hi kansen,

I always start at the simple stuff and then follow to the more complicated so as per normal clear the JAT3 cache. You’ve probably already checked it but as both slideshow and content slider are not displaying anything could it have something to do with ownership and permissions. You may want to check that the directories are writable.

    Hello swissa

I already Cleaned JAT3 Cache and the global cache, i deleted the image resized folder and it works ok, when i refresh the website i see this folder full again.

Module Permissions are ok, its on public

The folders images are 755 i think is enought, already tested 777 but im back to 755 for security.

the wob was working fine, i just updated the joomla from 2.5.2 to 2.5.3 and the modules stop working fine.

Sensible putting it back to 755. 😉

I know it is a pain but as I mentioned earlier I start at the easy stuff and work up so are all the settings the same as before? Or the same as in the demo – not sure how much you have done to your site. You can check them here – http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/userguide-ja-tiris-template-for-joomla-2-5/. And I would just really confirm the directories in System Information / Directory Permissions. I had a major problem with this just this week as my ISP had upgraded the php and I hadn’t updated my .htaccess. My ftp showed 755 but Joomla showed not writable.

If you are happy to post a url then if not I, others may be able to offer assistance.

I would say off hand that when you said in your first post that all was up to date it was playing tricks! :((

If I were in your position, and bare in mind I am not a mod – just a user like you, and step in Mods if you think this is wrong, I would take an immediate backup now using akeeba. (Make sure akeeba is configured so that it keeps more than 3 backups and that you have allocated enough space so that you can do 3 backups if needed without one being overwritten.)

As you said you did updates I would then try rolling them back if you used JA Extension Manager and see where you stand then. I would do another backup at this stage.

Then using JA Extension Manager update itself first, then T3, then modules and then the template. There are a lot of big updates in there from 1.7. After that check the situation and take another backup (why I said space for 3).

As to updating JS, that will be hard. You will lose all your shop data if you upgrade from 3.2.7 to 3.5.1. You can leave it on 3.2.7 but you may need to do css styling changes.

    Fingers crossed for you!

EDIT: If you don’t feel comfortable going forward from here you can always update the thread to a ticket

Could you PM me a super admin logon and ftp account so I can take a look? Please include a link to this thread in your PM so I can find it again.

Also please heed the excellent advice from swissa above. Akeeba backup really is a life saver so make sure you install that and run a backup before I take a look just for your safety.

ok i got, after 8 hours on pc, the solution……

i was replacing my hosting files with fresh ones and losing all my custom work…. anyhow.. i search in google some about megamenu problem.. dont remember what i wrote exactly.. and i found this solution.

on template settings.. on layer “Css & javascript compress”

Optimize JS was on “Join & Minify”, just set it to “NO” and ALL the problems are fixed… now i see JA modules with no problem and can create accounts. ALL IS WORKING OK!!! 🙂

hope i could save some time to other ppl.

    Cheers and thanks

Wow, thank you. That took forever for me to fix. I have 8 sites which all use JA Slideshow 2 and as soon as I upgraded them to Joomla 2.5.3 as you mentioned the slideshows stopped working. The odd thing was that I could still see the slideshows on my sites using the temporary hosting url IP address ie. http://173.254.12.211/~sunbox but when I went to the actual domain that was pointed to the same site I was unable to see the images in the slideshow. They simply would not show up or display correctly.

I tried everything from upgrading to the latest version of T3 Framework Plugin to reinstalling slideshow and template with no success.

As kansen mentioned the solution for me was to simply Go int the template manager under ja_graphite in this case and ont he global tab change the Optimize CSS to No and the Optimize JS to No. The slideshow works on all pages now. I also did this same thing on ja_droid with the same success.

    Thanks!!!

BTW: I tried just doing this on my ja droid sites which the slideshow was not working on and that was not enough to fix it. I also had to upgrade the T3 Framework Plugin to the latest version 2.5.1

    Kansen,

Thank you very much for taking the time to come back and post your solution. I just spent 90 minutes trying to figure out what happened as all of a sudden the mega menu and slideshow module stopped working. You’ve saved me from having some major frustration, and I think you for that! Cheers.

Ok, finally figured this out. The problem was in my .htaccess file (akeeba version). I disabled it and voila, it started to work again. Specifically, it was the following two lines:

    RewriteRule ^(components|modules|plugins|templates)/ – [F]
    RewriteRule ^([^/]+/)*([^/.]+.)+php$ – [F]

Comment them out, and you should be good to go.

    skin – default

    JA TIRIS manager:

    Optimize JS – NO

By the way, I found in code h3 style=”visibility:hidden

    <div id=”ja-slide-94″ class=”ja-slidewrap_tiris2 ja-horizontal” style=”visibility:hidden”>

    Is it correct?
