May 20, 2013 at 10:46 pm #187650Hi there,
I am running Joomla 2.5.11 and JA Slide Show Module 2.5.0. Everything works fine except that I can not update the description text. I can open the module, change the text, but hitting save or save and close does not save my changes. It only adds the # symbol to the end of my url (see screenshot). I tried creating a new slide show, but can not even save it once it is created. I tried updating to a newer version of the slideshow (version 2.5.7 and 2.6.1) but I got the same result with 2.5.7. Apparently 2.6.1 is a lot different and I could not find the description field. I have rolled back to 2.5.0 for now.Anyone know what would prevent me from being able to save my work in this module? There is a typo on the slideshow and my client is starting to panic that I can not update it.
Thanks!

May 20, 2013 at 11:13 pm #493442Yes this was the same thing for me, but just go to mysql database and look up slideshow on modules table and you can update there with no problem.

May 21, 2013 at 2:40 pm #493526Hi pixelperfect,
I will try to fix this issue after you send me PM with your admin login info & ftp account of your site.
I tested on our demo hosting but I could not reproduce the same error.
@jcstauring: If you fixed this issue, would you mind sharing your tips.
Leo

September 13, 2013 at 7:22 pm #505792I had not seen this. Yes basically to update the slideshow. You need to do it in Mysql database.
Go to your joomla admin see your Module name and module # to then search it in your database.
Login to MySqL, go to your DB, and your Module table, then find row with your Module name and number, there you will find the code to edit and update the slider.jc
