I put in a few images using the JA Slideshow but i cannot link it to a page.
in the description parameters I have:
imagenamehere.jpg:caption=Collection &url=”http://sitenamehere.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=18&Itemid=29″
what is the proper syntax for the &url ?
do I leave out the quotes?Khanh Le ModeratorKhanh Le

October 31, 2007 at 11:37 am #231874Hi,
I’ve the same problem overhere to link to a page.
This are my parameters:
image.jpg:url=http://www.mysite.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=65&Itemid=194If i put a site outside of my root then it’s no problem, like:
image.jpg:url=http://www.joomla.orgOnly internal linking gives a refresh of the page. Tried it also with quotes “
kind regards,
D.
October 31, 2007 at 12:14 pm #231881Hi,
I’ve solved the problem.
I’ll write it down, perhaps someone else can be helped with it.Go to the Joomla site configuration, and to SEO (Search Engine Optimalisation), enable this (first you have to rename htaccess.txt on your server to .htaccess). Then refresh your website, now your weblinks should look like this:
http://www.yoursite.com/content/view/65/194/So put this inside the parameters of the JAslideshow.
then you’ll get:
image.jpg:url=http://www.yoursite.com/content/view/65/194/this should work fine…
Hope that it helped someone 🙂
bye
October 31, 2007 at 1:02 pm #231886Great! Thanks for the help.
Would there be any security issues in renaming the htaccess.txt to .htaccess? just wondering.
October 31, 2007 at 1:16 pm #231888Not that I know.

April 3, 2008 at 11:58 am #244233Hi Sebbybey,
This parameter value, you have to put it inside the module (scroll down till you see a fill in form named ‘description parameters’) -> in the module (ja_slideshow’)
Where to put the ja lside show?
that depends on which template you are using for your site.
Usualy it’s user 1, or perhaps Top, sometimes it’s adv1.
Try some postions and look if you see the slideshow. Also remember to put ‘Show description’ on ‘Yes’ in the module .
Hope it helped 🙂
kind regards,
D.
