Simply have one image displaying in ja-slideshow2 module with following settings:

Show Descrip: Show descrip only
(Note: I have no descriptions for this image and do not want to show a description this way – this is the only setting that makes the entire image linkable…at least in firefox)
Show Descrip when: Always

Here is the current description syntax:

Works fine in firefox, but in IE8 entire image is not linked. If I type a description and choose to show it via the module then just the description is linkable, but I need the entire image to be linkable like it is in firefox.

Any code hack suggestions?
