I’ve downloaded JA Edenite 1.1 for 1.5.x but can’t find the JA Slideshow therein. Even with the Quickstart ver 1.1 I can’t find this component.

Pray tell where I can find it?

It’s a module . . . Have you looked within your Module Manager to see if the JA Slideshow module is in the list?
(Note: You may have to go to page two of the module list)

It would be assigned to the “tops1” position.
