June 24, 2008 at 1:49 pm #255826If you download the source files, then the JA Slideshow should be in there.

yep, its in there, but it don’t show up on the backend and frontend of the site.
I guess thats because I use an migration file of Joomla 1.13 with another template, but why does it not show up in the backend? Its on the site, i see it with FTP.

June 24, 2008 at 2:31 pm #255834Did you try to download the source files from the 1.5 version and manually install the ja slideshow?
And see what it says there, if it gives an error file while installing etc.

Dan moet je wel een ja slideshow installatiebestand hebben.
You need a JA Slideshow module for that.bennitos Friendbennitos

Sorry for the dutch ppl 🙂But thats what i am trying to say download the source files v1.0 for Joomla 1.5.x.zip in there you will find the extentions.zip and in there the installation file for JA slideshow.
Try to install that one and see if you get any errors or if it will show in the backend after.
Its quite possible something went wrong migrating.June 24, 2008 at 4:52 pm #255875Ok,I will try that tomorrow.
Let you know how it goes.Thx
June 25, 2008 at 7:58 am #256039I installed the module again, but now it won’t show in ‘user5’.
It shows in other module places, but not where it should show up.Next question also, how do I fix this.
The link to “How can I create module position in Joomla! ?” is dead, so that does not help for nowSherlock FriendSherlock

June 25, 2008 at 8:38 am #256047Hi.
Plz go to Extensions->Module manager, then choose Ja slide show to edit , you choose position to show that module.
You can view all position of your site with link
:http://www.yoursite.com/?tp=1If you want to create new position, plz edit templateDetails.xml(templates/[your template]/ folder):
You will see those lines
<positions>
<position>hornav</position>
<position>breadcrumbs</position>
<position>banner</position>
<position>left</position>
<position>right</position>
<position>top</position>
<position>ja-login</position>
<position>ja-news</position>
<position>mootabs</position>
<position>user1</position>
<position>user2</position>
<position>user3</position>
<position>user4</position>
<position>user5</position>
<position>user6</position>
<position>user7</position>
<position>user8</position>
<position>user9</position>
<position>footer</position>
<position>syndicate</position>
<position>debug</position>
</positions>Add your new position here as:
<position>your position</position>

August 19, 2008 at 3:59 am #265970Can you give us your live URL, any screenshot or more details of the problem will be helpful
August 19, 2008 at 6:32 am #265986The problem is that when you place JA slideshow inside module position “user5”, nothing is visible on the front page. I cannot send any URL, as there is nothing there… I’m using Joomla 1.0.
Thanks!
September 5, 2008 at 7:34 am #268874Have you installed the News Moo module yet? When you only install the slideshow module in “user5” area, nothing will show up. But if you also enable the News Moo module on the “right” position, it will magically show up.
