I’m pretty much at the end of my rope here. I’ve been trying to move a test website http://www.wynneweb.com/fccs to live site http://www.futuristics.biz
I used akeeba to back it up and restore. I guess for the most part it all went ok – except for the template JA Minisite – itself didn’t seem to take too well. Rather than try to sort through the myriad of problems, I eventually just uninstalled and re-installed the template.Still had to make a few edits but everything came up ok, except the JA Slideshow. It’s there in it’s module on the website – there are no pictures showing up. I’ve been at this for probably 18 hours (not straight but total) and I’m done…My final two steps were to compare the database entries for the modules – the same, and to compare the JA Slideshow module panel and make sure all settings were the same. Admittedly I found some mismatches but even after I corrected them – still no pictures…HELP!!!

I removed the K2 because of all the errors it was throwing. I will re-install it now. However, I’ve given you the userid and password 2-3 times now – I’m not sure, perhaps you are using a 1 instead of a ! in my password?

Ok, I enabled the K2 components.

Ok, well, that was very non-productive. But since I keep finding problems posted on these forums without resolutions – I’ll post my resolution here. It’s the famous, I reinstalled it in a new directory and finally got it all working – not exactly the same but now the slideshow works again. It’s a little tiresome to have to always completely wipe out the entire contents of a hosted site that I don’t own and then have to ftp up the enormous amounts of files and reinstall EVERYTHING just to fix one little problem.
