I’ve installed the JA Slideshow in JA Edenite. It’s working fine in IE7, Firefox 2 +3, but it does nothing – except showing the first image – in IE6. Who can help?
It’s installed in Joomla version 1.5.7.
Unfortunately the site I’m working on is not yet on line.
The warning I get in IE6 is something like:
Rule 68 ….
“Null is empty or no object”I think it’s got something to do with /js/ja.script.js.
If I remove the link to this file in index.php of JA Edenite , there is no longer a warning, but also still no sliding in IE6…..Does anybody else have the same problems with Ja Slideshow in IE6? I can’t imagine I’m the only one …….

I don’t think it is your IE6. I am currently at work and using IE6 and my slideshow is working perfect. Have you checked the demo for JA Edenite? If the demo is working, it is not IE6 but its the ja.script.js!September 11, 2008 at 12:10 am #270006Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
The demo is also not sliding in IE6. Perhaps I have wrong IE6 settings?mustafak Friendmustafak

September 11, 2008 at 12:50 am #270010That is a good news (Your template doesn’t have any issue) but it is only IE6.
Just try to change security level to “Medium” in Tools > Internet Options > Security tab > Custom Level and see if it works, that enables some JS and ActiveX.
Try Firefox for your computer, that is best of all.
September 11, 2008 at 7:34 am #270073Changing the security level does not solve the slide issue. And there is still this error message which you see in IE6 if you click on the warningsymbol in the left corner on the bottom of the screen.:
Rule 68 ….
“Null is empty or no object”I normally use Firefox (2.0 and 3.0), but to be sure the website looks OK in most browsers I also test the site in IE7 and IE6. I’m using a standalone version of IE6 to make this possible.
What version of IE6 are you using if I may ask?
You can test my site, but to do this you have to make a workaround on your computer and to tell you how to do this I rather send you a private mail.mustafak Friendmustafak

September 11, 2008 at 9:59 am #270084Send me your link in private mail and I will check it for you. I got Firefox 2.0.08 and I don’t have any problems, I also have IE6 at work, I will check the exact for you tomorrow.
Plus there are two other computers at home using different versions of IE6 and IE7. I will check in those as well to make sure you get ur website running perfect.
September 12, 2008 at 8:22 am #270185In case you haven’t noticed: I’ve sent you a PM with all details.
September 20, 2008 at 11:03 am #271494Thanks for testing my site in IE6. Good to hear my site is working fine on your computer. My version of IE6 is a stand-alone one (for I have many other browsers installed for testing options) and is probably corrupted. I will look for another version. Thanks again.
