Hi!

I’ve installed a brandnew clean Joomla 2.5, working on localhost (Mamp) and I’ve downloaded JA Erio. Now, there are some issues:

– the update doesn’t work for some plugins, error text displays the following:

Unknown Archive type
Update path does not exist
JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find XML setup file
Unable to detect manifest file

Updating COM_INSTALLER_TYPE_TYPE_ was successful.

– JA Slideshow doesn’t work: the module appears correctly in Extensions/Module Manager, but I cannot save any changes to it, nor create a new module with JA Slideshow.

I’m not a native English speaker, so I hope that my explanation is clear enough.

With regard to the not working updates: I found this thread http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/ja-updates-not-installing/ and followed Ninja Leads suggestion to update from JA Extension Manager. Maybe I’m closer to the solution now 🙂 – here’s a screenshot:

How can I configure the JA Extension Manger correctly??

Hi barbara779,

Please go into the “Configurstions” menu item on the left in the JA Extensions manager and then press the “Save” button to set your paths correctly.

If you want to upgrade any JA Extensions that you need a subscription for then also go into the “Services Manager” item and for “Joomlart Updates” edit it to contain your Joomla Art login details.
