Hello, I have a problem with JA Slideshow. I can’t save changes with this module. I have seen that is a recurring problem. I followed the instructions in this thread: http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/is-ja-magz-joomla-3-2-compatible/

    <blockquote>Hi guys,

JA Slideshow module is not compatible with JOOMLA 3.2 yet, we’re working hard to get new releases done. For now, you can fix this problem on your site as following :

Please get my attached file and override them with files on your site site

+ Download and extract my attached file

    japrofile.js file into: modules/mod_jaslideshow/assets/elements/japrofile/ folder

    helper.php file into modules/mod_jaslideshow/admin/japrofile/ folder

Don’t forget to back-up files before replacing.

    Regards</blockquote>

    But, It does not work.

Thank you, I hope your help.
    Regards
    Javier

I found js conflict on your site that’s reason why JA Slideshow module doesn’t show on your site.

I have forwarded this issue to our development team to check further. Hope they can figure out a fix soon.

Thanks for your help. Can I fix this somehow? Do you know if it is a conflict with any particular module or extension?

You might do this if it is an extension of my previous template.

    @modalia,

This is database issue: As the setting (xml) data of this module is larger than 64kb, while the params field is TEXT(~64kb) type. Thus this module can not save setting. This happens as the images folder has many images which made a big json data for image parameter.

    TINYTEXT 256 bytes
    TEXT 65,535 bytes ~64kb
    MEDIUMTEXT 16,777,215 bytes ~16MB
    LONGTEXT 4,294,967,295 bytes ~4GB

So, you must change params field in the Modules table to MEDIUMTEXT type or you can remove images from images folder.

Hope this helps. Please get back to me if you need further assistance.
