    Hi Arek,

As I can see through Firebug editor, there are so many javascipt errors on your site now. Did you install any other 3rd party extensions than JoomlArt’s extension ?

Thank you very much for helping.
I don’t think I installed any extensions recently and just recently I spotted the error.

I solved the problem. You were right. There were one java script running which caused the problem. Thank you.

Could someone post the solution for this problem please, because I am experiencing the same problem with the JA Ironis template.

I can’t save any changes in the JA Slide Show module (I need to add the Slide Show module to a new menu page); all the system does when I hit the save or save&close button after checkmarking the new page within the appropriate tab of the Menu Assignment option is putting a # behind the url for the admin page in the webbrowser’s url bar and nothing happens, so in order to move on I can only cancel the change.

I don’t get any error in Firebug though …

    Hello wvdongen,

Can you PM me with your site information (your site URL, your site admin account) and your FTP account? So I can diagnose this problem.

BTW, please include this forum thread URL in your PM, so I can follow it.

    Best regards.

    Hello Stork11,

Sorry, I can’t do that (it’s a government related site and I can’t just hand over access codes like that); in the meantime I have transferred the whole site to my own webspace and over there the problem doesn’t occur, so it’s probably caused by something in the server environment rather than in the Joomla configuration. That’s why I would appreciate any hint about the way in which you were able to solve this issue for other sites …

    Hello wvdongen,

For the diagnosis, I need to debug on your source code to find the reason causing problem. So I need your administrator account and FTP access to your server. So please help us update it for further assistance.

    Best regards.

like I said, sorry, but I can’t do that and surely you must be able to give me a hint based on your experiences debugging the same problem with other sites …

I noticed some of the changes are stored in /modules/mod_jaslideshow/profiles/[…].ini, so I can change those over there, but the main problem is that I can’t add another page from the main menu for the slideshow to show on (i.e. Menu Assignment > Module Assignment > “only on the pages selected” and then checkmark a newly created main menu page); so if you could point me to where that information is stored (probably in a database table?), then I can solve that too …

Please ask your hosting company to set permission on “helper.php”, so that you can access directly to this file.

I mean as you run this URL http://your-domain/modules/mod_jaslideshow/admin/helper.php?japaramaction=saveProfile&profile=kranos , you mustn’t got Error 500 (Internal server error)

Sometimes your .htaccess file restricts to access “http://your-domain/modules/mod_jaslideshow/admin/helper.php?japaramaction=saveProfile&profile=kranos”, then you need to edit yours to allow the access to the “helper.php” file.

    Best regards.

When I run the url you suggested for my website then I get as return message: “{“successful”:”Save Profile Successfully”,”profile”:”default”,”type”:”new”}”, so the permissions on the helper.php doesn’t seem to be the problem (btw. they are 664, both on the live website in which saving gives trouble and on the backup on my own webspace where saving doesn’t give trouble).

So I repeat my question again: where is the information on selected menu pages stored when the settings of the slideshow are saved?

Why isn’t there a simply quick answer to this problem if so many people are having the same issue? I have just JA Tiris template with framework installed with JA Sildeshow and I’m having the same problem. Here’s the firebug error
    “NetworkError: 500 Internal Server Error – http://myfassion.net/modules/mod_jaslideshow/admin/helper.php?japaramaction=saveProfile&profile=default
    helper…default
    result is undefined
    [Break On This Error]

    if (result.successful && result.type!=null && result.type!=’new’) {
Here’s the page error from the module:
