Hi,
I’m setting up the demo installation of JA Methys. The slideshow module depicts the image path as images/stories/slideshow
However, the images are really pulled from
images/resized/images/stories/slideshow/What am I doing wrong? How do I get the slideshow to pull images from a different directory?
this directory also contains thumbnails of the placeholder images. Are those created automatically?

June 8, 2011 at 12:08 pm #395271Yes they are created automatically. This does the cropping function.
you can also remove this Functionality in the Slideshow Module.
Do you want to remove this?
June 8, 2011 at 2:46 pm #395301No, that was only part of the question. All I want to do is to get this to work as it is supposed to. As it stands, I cannot define the image directory – and the image directory that is currently defined in module not the one that is actually being used.
The thumbnails are not being automatically created, which, combined with the main issue, leads me to believe I am not uploading images correctly?

June 8, 2011 at 2:52 pm #395302you are doing the Right by uploading Images in this path images/stories/slideshow/
During the Code Execution, the process of resizing is creating this path images/resized/images/stories/slideshow/
Do you want this Not to happen? Please confirm so i would provide you the Solution for it
June 8, 2011 at 2:55 pm #395303i want it to happen but it doesn’t. If I’m doing right, why isn’t it working?

June 8, 2011 at 3:10 pm #395306It Will Do the following
Go to Extension -> Module Manager -> JA Slideshow Module -> Advanced Options Tab
In the Tab there is a option
Set Thumbnail Mode to “Using Image Source” and then clear your joomla clean cache and then Browser cache.
Thats it you will get the Original path in the Slideshow.
For Reference you an see the attached image.

June 8, 2011 at 6:25 pm #395342I had already tried this approach several times. I’ve cleared the cache wherever possible. I’ve tested on different machines, different browsers. I even reinstalled the demo. It doesn’t work.
I have the original path in the slideshow. The problem is that that’s not where the images are. See attached files for an illustration of the issue.
