August 16, 2011 at 7:39 pm #167491I am using a modified version (CSS changes to appearance) of the JA Pyro Theme using Joomla 1.7
The problem is actually on both my internal development site and on the JA Pyro demo site both.
I would normally say forget people with IE7 they can just deal w/ it, however I work for The Corvallis Clinic and our EMR (AllScripts) only works with IE7 so the entire clinic uses IE7. So basically I have to deal with it.I do have a hard deadline for this in 2 weeks so any help would be appreciated.
Problem Description:
Definition: Link to running version that has issue: http://www.joomlart.com/demo/#templates.joomlart.com/ja_pyro
Blue Box (slideshow) bottom “tabbed” links only work if you do not click on the text.
-Click anywhere around the text it works fine but if you click the text it will not change over to the new slide.
-Rolling the mouse wheel also does not work when hovered over text.Characteristic 1: Only seems to manifest in IE
Note: I only have IE 7.05730.13 to test with at the moment so I do not know if funcitonality problem exists in IE6 or IE8+Characteristic 2: Joomla 1.5 demo: http://www.joomlart.com/demo/#templates.joomlart.com/ja_pyro
The functionality bug does not manifest in IE7 (webkit/moz work fine)
Joomla 1.6/1.7 demo: http://www.joomlart.com/demo/#templates.joomlart.com/ja_pyro
The functionality bug does manifest in IE7 (webkit/moz work fine still)See Image Below for further detail:
Green is zone where link will work when clicked or mouse wheel is rolled.
The First Picture is from the JA Demo Site and the Second Image is from the Clinic’s internal staging site where I am developing it for release. Remember the problem appears at both so it must be something that is just a general bug from something that changed from the 1.5 -> 1.6 version of the slideshow… due to characteristic 2 described above.KEY: Green zone is clickable and will actually work as expected
Red zone is not clickable and should be. Mouse even changes to the little clickable action hand but when clicked or mouse wheel is rolled nothing happens.TIA
Best Regards,
Mike L.-

Quick question just because I know my boss will ask. Do you have an ETA as to when it will be complete so I can do the update?
