Hi All,
None of my JA Slideshow links containing an ‘&’ link correctly…
Each link containing an & is rendering as HTML i.e. ‘&’ in the address bar.
This is driving me crazy…can anyone help?
Thanks!

I know if you have a ‘ in the desc it needs a before it e.g. swissa’s should be swissa’s
Maybe that works for the &
No harm in trying!! 😉
Actually just tried in my Tiris and the & works fine on it’s own. In slideshow at the backend have a look to see what is allowed in the desc field – scroll down to Include Tags and adjust that. I include a screenshot of mine….
See if that helps!

Thanks very much for your reply!
Unfortunately I have tried both suggestions (i.e. placing a & in allowed tags and before &) and I’m still having the sale problem…:((
Here is my Slideshow desc code…
<h3>Bringing a Little Extra Love</h3>
<p>Uniquely You…</p>Any ideas?
Thanks again!
Rick…

August 6, 2012 at 8:26 am #463324I think I understand what you are saying now.
To change the url into something that isn’t Joomla mumbojumbo you need to change htaccess.txt to .htaccess and in Global Configuration change the SEO settings to use Search Engine Friendly urls and use URL rewriting.
Then that link will show as e.g. domain.com/shop/categories .

August 7, 2012 at 7:53 am #463445Hi wmwrick,
I think you use Search Engine Friendly urls and use URL rewriting. When you using code :
<h3>Bringing a Little Extra Love</h3>
<p>Uniquely You…</p>
It’s don’t auto replace link “index.php?option=com_jshopping&controller=category&Itemid=58” to Search Engine Friendly urls, you need change it before add to code. Example :
<h3>Bringing a Little Extra Love</h3>
<p>Uniquely You…</p>
August 7, 2012 at 1:55 pm #463492Hi Swissa & MoonSailor,
Thanks very much for your replies!
When I enabled SEF the problem was solved and the sideshow links are now working correctly…
Thanks again for your help :-*
