I installed quickstart ja university and configured the slideshow as follows:

    Image Folder:/images/slideshow

    Advanced Configuration:

<h3>Undergraduate programs for all</h3><p>Aliquam Sed mauris quis tincidunt duis tristique eget Morbi <a href=”#” title=”Sample link”>consectetuer</a>.</p>

it’s not cached folder, I guess it’s an permission issue with the images folder, probably that folder is not writable caused the resized images could not be created there, you can try to change the chmod value for that folder as well as all it’s sub-folders to 755 or 0755, if the problem still there pm me your FTP info and I will take a look for you.

This happened to me also. For some reason, I saw that the ” Optimize JS” in the “Css & Javascript Compress” section of the Template manager had been changed to “Yes”. As soon as I disabled it, (changed it to “No”) JA Slideshow Lite worked properly again.

Had this happen in some other Joomlart Templates as well. Hope this is the solution to your problem.
