I’m using the slideshow pulling images from the image folder. The title and description are given, and I see in the source code that they ARE there… but the image is covering them up.

It would be helpful if you could provide the url of the site you’re working on – so we can view/inspect the issue. Also, please temporarily set "Optimize CSS" to "Off" within your Template Manager–General settings.
