March 8, 2012 at 11:35 pm #174778I have installed Ja Erio on a site I am building locally on my machine. I also installed JA Slideshow and all the other extensions.
As always I also installed the Ja ERIO quickstart to use as reference.
When I went to configure the slideshow the mask, description and anything other than the pictures will not show. I copied the settings in the module precisely as they are on the Ja Erio quickstart, yet the mask and description continue to be invisible.
I have cleared the Jat3 cache, I have deleted the images inside “resized” and I Have double checked settings multiple times.
I also looked at the css for both the quickstart and my site and they appear identical.Not only the mask is not there, at least the CSS tells me it should be, but the title and description text are not loading at all.
this is the CSS from the NON-functioning slideshow:
Style Attribute {
visibility: visible;
}.ja-slide-desc {
position: absolute;
top: 0;
right: 0;
height: 268px;
width: 390px;
background: black;
opacity: 1;
padding: 52px 40px 40px;
}It is identical to the code in the Ja Erio quickstart, at least as far as this is concerned and removing the line background: black; from the css of the quickstart removes the black mask from the slideshow. However, the very same code fails to display the mask on the other site.
Incidentally, this is not the first time I am having trouble reproducing a JA Slideshow starting from scratch and it’s getting a bit aggravating.
Since this is on my personal server I cannot publish a link. I also checked other responses to similar issues, but the only one that was pertinent the culprit was a mistake in the settings. There is no such mistake on my part.
Finally, just to make sure I even moved the entire folder for JA Slideshow from the quickstart to the other site. Nothing changed.

March 9, 2012 at 12:04 am #442711Hi
I’m no specialist by any stretch but have a bit of experience with slideshow on a couple of sites. I can’t promise to find a solution but two heads are better than 1 so they say!
My first question would have to be to what did you resize the slideshow? I ask because I was able to answer a question on here today where someone had lost the “read more” purely because it was below the new size of the slideshow. And on an Erios site too so relevant?!

Possible starting point?
