I just found out that when i clear ALL the caches… that it will appear once. On refresh, it disappears! So once its cached, it doesn’t display I’m assuming.

Strange one. If I click on that link I get taken to a holding page – static html.

If I click on it in my ForumRunner on the ipad I can see your site but with lots of problems. As it opens within an app I can’t see the url.

I don’t know what other advice to offer as I can’t get to the site. Might sound strange but whenever I get stuff like this I run Akeeba Admin Tools and reset the permissions, clear all cache, make sure the template is set to dev and make sure that the Joomla cache is off. Then slowly go through it all again. (headbang)

Okay!

It’s late here / early so maybe my brain is fizzled (only on my 2nd beer though).

All the other pages work with masshead and look good.

Your slideshow DOES work and looks really good. I wouldn’t want to meet that guy unless he worked for me. 😉

BUT I only see it on contact/contacts/red-horse-protection so i’d check what pages you’ve published them on.

At least you’re eliminating problems!

See thats the thing… the menu options right now are set for a temporary “all”… and it works on them ALL… ONCE. If you view a page and hit refresh, it disappears. I have to clean the cache and purge expired cache for them to appear again, and they’ll only appear once.

Got you. Same problem for me here on Chrome and Safari. Might be connected but your site is very slow to load like its loading lots in the background.

This could be due to your hosting company, your joomla set-up, the template or whatever else. I can’t help further I’m afraid. Cache. The Dark Arts.

Swap one problem for another eh?

I’d start a new thread if I were you with a title of caching problems to attract the guys with bigger brains than mine. Or smarter ones at least!

Haha you’ve been much help! It loads fine here though, not noticing anything slow. What’s odd is even though it doesn’t display… it still shows it in the source code.

Even though I’m up in the Swiss mountains I do have a 27MB pipe and its taking 4-5 secs to load a page. Weird.

I wish you the best of luck with the site and hope you get the problem sorted soon. There are some really clever guys on here who I’m sure can and will help.

I’m not even on 27mb and it loads within about 2 seconds… who knows. I’m at a loss. I do wish i was in the Swiss Mountains though. I suppose i’ll have to settle in Texas for now.
