The images in slideshow2 seem to be starting at random.

Ie. slide 1 sometimes appears as slide 1 and other times slide 2 etc…

You can’t predict which one will show up in which order.

    Please advise.

I think (and I’m not 100% sure here) that if you set start item to 0 it is random. So set start item to 1 and it should be in file order.

If that doesn’t work, I used alpha order on one of my sites and it finally acknowledged the order!

What do you mean? The files were name ABCD? or in the “start item” you put alpha order

I tried every “Number” combination I could find. When that didn’t work I renamed all the images in alpha order: Example A.jpg, B.jpg, C.jpg … and it worked! Not sure why but it did. 😀

Good stuff, I later discovered that the 0,1,2 etc in the start order set which thumbnail is highlighted first so I was completely wrong.

I’ve renamed my images to a.image b. image, etc. (per jwellmans post) and have start item set to 1 and still the slideshow seems to randomize the order. When I rename the image descriptions accordingly (in description of each item syntax) to the apparent order, it for some reason, changes. I really wish they would build in or explain how to set order in this module and keep it consistent – I have it working much better on JA Quartz.

Also, when adding an href link to the descriptions it changes the color/highlights on all of the control buttons and instead of the buttons controlling the slide navigation, when you click them it takes you to that link. I’ve turned this off already but anyone else having these issues or any new suggestions?

    Thanks.

I can’t even get the urls to work. Can you copy an example of the code you used to have the links work?

Here is code from JA Quartz site I’m finishing up that’s using jaslideshow2:

    <h3><a href=”http://southbeachmiamirealestatehome.com/condo-search/bentley-bay.html”>Bentley Bay </h3>

It worked earlier on my demo site:
    demo.veritycrm.com

    but I’ve since removed it.

Okay guys… I’m now playing with this template. Wish me luck. 😀
The code above that tfernandez provided is not correct. The code below is working for me. Copy it and replace with your information.
