I want to use the JA Slideshow2 Module, but it doesn’t show any images.
I have put some images in the folder images/slideshow.
In the configuration I’ve chosen “from image folder” as the source.
In the source section I’ve chosen images/slideshow as the image folder.
I’ve put images of different sizes and types in the folder, and I can see with Firebug that it makes a div for each image in the slideshow folder.
I’ve put the div for one of these items below. My Joomla installation is under http://mysite.com/joomla
<div class=”ja-slide-main”>
<div class=”ja-slide-item” style=”width: 970px; height: 340px; position: absolute; top: 0px; display: none; left: 0px; visibility: hidden; opacity: 0; z-index: 9;”><img alt=”” src=”http://mysite.com/joomla/”>
</div>Can anyone help me.
In the script section in Firebug I get this error: Failed to load source for: http://mysite.com/joomla/

April 25, 2010 at 3:12 pm #341488hi …really it should be coming up..
just to confirm.. in the quickstart the folder is images/stories/slideshow and you have mentioned
images/slideshowpreferably if you can PM the live site path…its easier to trouble shoot.
thanks

I didn’t install it through the quickstart zip-file. I installed the template and the module.
Do you have to store the images in the location you specified, images/stories/slideshow? I renamed the stories folder to slideshow because I thought it was a better name. Is it wrong. I specified the folder in the configuration.

April 26, 2010 at 8:30 am #341592one more thing i need u to check is if you have resized folder in images… if not create a resized folder and give write permissions so that images / folders can be written into it
April 26, 2010 at 9:11 am #341598Here is one of the images that is located in the slideshow folder: sl-1_970_340.jpg
There is no resized folder… I made one with the name resized and permission 755.

April 26, 2010 at 11:08 am #341646Hi…
did you edit the module once u made the change..? what u need to do is first go to module then edit the module..in the folder instead of images/slideshow just write anything say images/stories
then save it. then again edit module and say images/slideshow and I think the problem should be solved.
April 26, 2010 at 3:28 pm #341662I have the same problem. It seems that the images are being cached somewhere and changes cannot be shown.
Try to create a different folder for example: /images/stories/newimages and it will be solved for sure… until your next image change
April 26, 2010 at 3:36 pm #341664the images are being cached here:
imagesresizedimagesstories
delete the contents of the folder on this uri and it is ok…
April 26, 2010 at 4:08 pm #341666I made a new folder images/stories/slideshow and put a couple of images there. Nothing happened.
My resized folder is empty…Saguaros ModeratorSaguaros
