April 15, 2010 at 6:23 pm #150395Hello.
I’ve applied several different changes that I read in these forums, but have not successfully been able to change how articles are showing up in the forum. I hope you can help.
1. Why does the text in the slider look so awful in IE8. It looks like a .gif looks when you don’t apply the right matte color around the image when you create the .gif for the web.
2. How can I set it up to NOT show ANY images when an article is displayed. I tried having the images only after a readme break and that didn’t do it. I also applied the following to the default_articles.php file
“// parse image in the article’s content.
$helper->parseImages( $item, $params );
$list[$k]->introtext =strip_tags( $item->introtext); ”and this did not fix/change anything either. I saw the thread about removing the black behind the image, but that didn’t work.
I’d rather live without the images, as they show up with the text over-writing them, which isn’t very nice to look at.
3. I tried to include a Link in the portion of the text that appears in the slideshow, but when I applied some styling to the link (a different color) the text showed up super big and I had to remove it.
Thank you.
Anne

Please fix this issue as folllowing: please open the file: templatesja_oreshtmlmod_jaslideshow2default_articles.php and find codes at line 12:
<?php echo $helper->renderImage ($item->title, $item->mainImage, $params, $mainWidth, $mainHeight );?>
please remove them to disable image in the slideshow.

April 19, 2010 at 12:38 pm #340792Thank you Tienhc.
Here is the URL: http://www.drumandtrumpet.com
However, I had to unpublish the jaslideshow2 module and I have replaced it with another type of slideshow.
I really like this template and may be using the jaslideshow2 module on another site. I will use your suggestion above to answer my question #2. If I continue to have these problems, I will probably have to repost or maybe I’ll find the answers I need from another thread.
Thank you for the time it took for you to answer this for me.
