For some reason my slideshow and my news modules are linking incorrectly. It appears that the links are on top of one another and only the first one is working, but I cannot confirm this.
Slide show is at: citieswestsites.comja-news is on any of the sub category menu items across the top: http://citieswestsites.com/lifestyle/valley-news
is a good example. Not sure why this is happening, but I’m thinking its something simple I screwed up in the setup.
August 20, 2012 at 11:13 pm #464787Alas, I have solved the slideshow issue. Stupid me had a module in the wrong place. But –
The ja-news issue is still ongoing. Any help would be appreciated…

August 21, 2012 at 7:43 am #464833Hi there,
I visited your site at: http://citieswestsites.com/lifestyle/valley-news and see that it has 2 JA News Featured module, please make your problem clearer and let me know how you wanna achieve.
August 21, 2012 at 4:05 pm #464875Sorry, I guess that wasn’t very clear. The read more link does not work properly after the first slide. It like this on all of my sub-cats.

September 4, 2012 at 9:26 pm #466138That’s awesome, but actually I need help with my ja-news links on subcategory pages, such as:
http://citieswestsites.com/things-to-do/things-to-do
and
http://citieswestsites.com/lifestyle/valley-newsAlso, I think if you check the login you’ll find I opened access to your account credentials once again.
Thanks…

September 5, 2012 at 3:21 am #466165I’m not quite sure what modifications you have done upon your installation, would need to take a closer look at your site and include screenshot on the both link above.
September 6, 2012 at 6:19 pm #466389My bad. I dropped in a sub category that I forgot about.
The issue is the ja-news module is not using the read more link correctly –http://citieswestsites.com/lifestyle/categories/valley-news
http://citieswestsites.com/lifestyle/categories/history
http://citieswestsites.com/things-to-do/categories/things-to-do
etc…Sometimes it works, sometimes it looks like it works but links to the wrong article, and sometimes it doesn’t work at all. It’s like this on every single sub-cat I have.
Thanks for looking

September 10, 2012 at 6:33 pm #466656There is no error and there is no difference. If you go to any of the pages above and click “Read More” the link goes to the wrong article if it goes anywhere at all. Sometimes, rarely it points to the right article, but most often it does not. It’s like this on all of my Ja-news modules, which are on almost every subcategory. The links above are just three examples of what I’m talking about.
I don’t know how else to explain it. The read more link does not work properly in my Ja-news module.

September 11, 2012 at 2:59 am #466682Yeah, I got it, i have fixed the error on script.js file. You can compare what i changed on the file below
<blockquote>modules/mod_janews_featured/tmpl/default/script.js </blockquote>
and
<blockquote>modules/mod_janews_featured/tmpl/default/_script_.js</blockquote>
This error was applied to our product. Now, let’s wait for its release next month
September 11, 2012 at 5:55 pm #466765So do I use _script_.js or do I wait for an update?
September 11, 2012 at 10:04 pm #466770Well I tried _script_.js and it does not work…
