August 15, 2015 at 2:49 am #661677Hello,
After installing JA Social II I encountered a MySQL error while adding contacts and categories in the contact manager. I thought it was an issue caused by a bad installation so I downloaded a new quickstart file and installed it a second time. Again I ran into the same issue while adding contacts and categories in the contact manager. Here is the error I keep encountering:
<blockquote>Error
Save failed with the following error: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ‘AND `sha1_hash` = ’57f52337cea5b047925b7a25e118261fd963efea’ LIMIT 0, 1′ at line 3 SQL=SELECT * FROM `dxz5f_ucm_history` WHERE `ucm_item_id` = 2 AND `ucm_type_id` = AND `sha1_hash` = ’57f52337cea5b047925b7a25e118261fd963efea’ LIMIT 0, 1</blockquote>I’m not very good with MySQL and would appreciate some help resolving this issue.
Thanks,
ntonline

August 17, 2015 at 1:57 am #662249Hi there
This issue already addressed in many tickets. It’s all about MySQL collation .
Please set it to UTF-8.If you can work on it. I can help you by install quickstart in my localhost and provide your dumped sql & zipped source.
But it’s bad practice way.
And one more thing. You should upgrade your PHP to 5.5 or higher. 5.3 already EOL.
Thank you,
Viet Vujooservices Friendjooservices
