October 19, 2014 at 4:56 pm #202226Seems that I can’t change any of the settings for the ja social plugin on this. Was this purposely left out or ? Running on a localhost right now before I uploaded this live using the quickstart. Wanted to change Some of the links from the defaults and had seen that it was part of uber but yet seems it was only used to generate the quick-start?
Edit: Just to be clear, I’ve purchased both the Templates and Extensions memberships for a year, I like the work you guys/gals do and was curious as to what was used in creation of the demo, frankly if it comes down to it I can always edit the database to the values needed but would rather have it in the admin panel. I have three sites to manage and this is just the first I get to tinker with using your products.

October 20, 2014 at 3:23 am #5535291. First, you can find the configuration documentation of JA Social Plugin here: http://www.joomlart.com/documentation/joomla-plugins/ja-social-plugin
2. Can you let me know more about which link you want to change?
a. This is what I got: http://prntscr.com/4xvz13
b. It would be nice if you can share screenshots with descriptions. And, direct link and temporary Admin account if your site is live. I would be easier for me to understand your concern and check it.1 user says Thank You to Eragon H for this useful post

October 20, 2014 at 2:36 pm #553624Well as I said I’m running the site on a localhost until I get it set up. Looking deeper into it I don’t know if you guys used Ja Social on it or not when you developed it, though it would be nice to know. I noticed that JA Social doesn’t have the code for all the buttons listed (see screenshot) but that is what it is called in the module manager.
This is how it is listed in the module manager.
http://prntscr.com/4xzj74This is the only visible code once you toggle off the editor which is really the wrong place to edit these buttons since it is not html that you are trying to edit.
http://prntscr.com/4xzm2eAnd these are the effected buttons in the footer called out by ja social in the template.
http://prntscr.com/4xzlh3Again Ja Social is not installed in the quickstart but it seems to be a custom mod that you guys did but are calling it that, perhaps an update to ja social for 3.x to include a Pinterest function to do just that is called for (followed your link and it appears as ja social is only for 2.5 and doesn’t have that function.
This is the actual code in the database, was just hoping there was a way to change it in the admin area.
<div class="addthis_toolbox">
<a class="addthis_button_facebook_follow" addthis:userid="joomlart"><i class="fa fa-facebook"></i></a>
<a class="addthis_button_twitter_follow" addthis:userid="joomlart"><i class="fa fa-twitter"></i></a>
<a class="addthis_button_google_follow" addthis:userid="+joomlart"><i class="fa fa-google-plus"></i></a>
<a class="addthis_button_pinterest_follow" addthis:userid="+joomlart"><i class="fa fa-pinterest"></i></a>
</div>
<script type="text/javascript" src="//s7.addthis.com/js/300/addthis_widget.js#pubid=ra-52c4eb2a034cad83"></script>

October 20, 2014 at 5:05 pm #553638The mentioned JA Social module is not the JA Social Plugin.
It is a Custom HTML module, and we use the Addthis to show the social share.
You can change the the userid from joomlart to your id.Note: You should turn off the editor when edit the Custom HTML module as the editor normally hide/drop HTML tags

Thanks amarjit it allowed me to make the changes without having to do it in the db I’m using this one site to cut my teeth with joomla on and am still getting used to the ins and out of it. I have another site that I get 500K hits a year on that I have yet to find a good template for but than again I just started digging here 😉
