    Hi there,

I have created the following website using JA Social: http://www.perthmortgagespecialist.com.au

I made all styling adjustments (whilst in Development Mode) in ja_social/local/less/themes folder.

Then when I have switched off Development mode to speed the website up and compiled the LESS to CSS – none of my changes have (template.less, variables.less etc…) have come through and the website doesn’t look right.

Please help – In one article I read that you can use the Local folder (http://www.t3-framework.org/documentation/extend-com-content#isolate-template) and another says make the changes directly in the Less folder (http://www.t3-framework.org/documentation/bs3-customization#theme-customization)

Which is the best practice for JA Social for styling changes?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi @mtwharris,

Actually you can use both methods but I prefer to use custom.css file if you only touch the CSS code only.

You will need to compile LESS to CSS while Development Mode is enabled instead of turn it off.
