Hi there

JA Social involves major third-party extensions and hence will always be in the last template upgrade-batch.
Understandable as these extensions also have to be upgraded. However, is is a bit annoying.

Would it be possible to release a lite version, which includes only the look-and-feel aspect without third-party extensions?

We decided to use JA Social because of its look and do not use Jomsocial, Kuena and so on.

The Ja_Social template in the quickstart version doesn’t include the component JomSocial but only the style for it

also in the quickstart is included Kunena Forum and the style for it

So you can install the quickstart and uninstall the Kunena component with it’s relative style and delete also the JomSocial folder style.

At this point you will have only the template without extra extensions

Are you asking for a J!2.5 edition with just the base template and non of the other 3rd party templates?

If that’s not what your looking for than I don’t understand your question, because the template works out of the box if your not using Kunena or JomSocial. Have you installed and tested the template yet and do you see something that is not working, if so be more specific.
