    Hi, wonder if anybody can please assist me.

    U purchased JA Social today and tried to edit the Template in the Template Manager to disable the Cpanel function, change logo text etc.

    Whenever I make a change, a red exclamation mark appears before profile and when I make changes and apply (there is no save function) and exit, the changes is ignored.

    How can this be fixed. I tried to find a similar post, but could not. Apologies if im posting incorrectly.

    Dear hostaffair,

    A red exclamation mark appears before the profile as you said, it indicates that the profile settings have been changed and would be saved, if you hit the apply button.

    If your changes are not being saved, then you can send me the login and FTP of your site and i would have a look.

    I’m also unable to make changes in the Template Manager. I’m trying to change the default font and simply trying to clone the default profile so I can make changes. I don’t get any errors, but am simply not able to do anything. I can change the font, for example, but when I hit APPLY it doesn’t keep the settings.

    In terms of cloning the default profile, it doesn’t appear to work either. I’ll email FTP info for your review.

    Hey Dathq,

    Thank you for your reply. The only solution for me was to reinstall the template. After I reinstalled it seemed to work fine. I am thus no longer experiencing the issues mentioned above.

    Hey it4inc,

    Im glad that I am not the only one experiencing this. I could unfortunately not wait for the issue to be resolved, due to deadline, so I tried “uninstalling” and “reinstalling” the quickstart, after which the problem was no longer experienced.

    Unfortunately, I have made some customizations to the template that I’m afraid will be overwritten with the quickstart. I have some time before we go live thankfully 🙂

    I understand your problem and frustration. Luckily I was not that far into the project yet, so I was able to take a risk! I am not a web designer, actually an accountant by trade, only recently started playing around as I have always found it very interesting. I have 3 small issues with the site I am working on and was wondering if I may ask your assistance/guidance. If it would be in order, is it possible that you will PM me your email address and I will share more detail.
