I am trying to modify the quickstart from local hosting, but when i tried to modify "topbar-right" with social icons/feeds, i saved the module, but when I refreshed the website, social gone.

And I checked again the module, there is no content in the module, even if I added some contents in it, every time, i saved the module, all contents are gone.

What is the problem with this part?

Another question is big blank margin between two positions at the homepage, how to resize the margin between to blocks/positions

Hello

Try to disable your default editor setting it to none from Global configuration and add again content in your module.
