I get this error when trying to submit a test article

I believe you have to make sure you set all the required parameters for Ja-Submit or it won’t work. In addition, you have to press cancel before you can navigate away from the page.

You can try this one but it does not work with 1.5. yet:

I don’t think there is really a good user submission component for Joomla. And Ja-Submit have not been updated in ages, which is a real shame.

You can always use Joomla’s internal submission but you need to make sure that the user is an “Author” otherwise, they can’t submit anything.
