    Hi,

I installed the new JA T3 V 1.1.2 and JA T3 plugin V 1.1.1 and I like the gzip compression with one exception.

Even if I set the Optimize Folder path to : cache/t3 it seems that the css and js generated files aren’t cached.

This made the files to be loaded on every page load and this slow down the page.

See this links for a comparision

    1. http://www.webpagetest.org/result/100727_1XFA/ this is a test made with the previous version.
As you can see in the previous version when css and js files have the following pats:

    http://www.investx.net/cache/t3/eccaa725258a572271afecb355eeb3df.css

    http://www.investx.net/cache/t3/4d6cd964647d7a3951037bfc9fabc879.js

in the Repeat View the css and js files aren’t called anymore.

    2. http://www.webpagetest.org/result/100727_1XSV/
In the actual version when css and js files have the following pats:

    http://www.investx.net/?jat3action=gzip&type=css&file=cache%2Ft3%2F7bf9815ec39ae0bd0c458ea766507f41.acf21e9c87ca7f193abc5c04676553a3.css

    http://www.investx.net/?jat3action=gzip&type=js&file=cache%2Ft3%2F4d6cd964647d7a3951037bfc9fabc879.520795923b140a0db8d146e5ba819ad7.js

in the Repeat View the css and js files are called again.

Also if you compare the speed file you will see a very big difference.
In the first case css file have – 656 ms and js file have – 537 ms
In the second case css file have – 1212 ms and js file have – 1098 ms
    This is double :((:((
So it seems that in the previos version the css and js files was generated better.

Thank you for your finding. I have applied cache for css/js compression and the update will be available in new version of the framework. Currently, you can try with our demo at http://demo.t3.joomlart.com/joomla15

    Hi,

I haved installed the version 1.1.4 and the problem is still there.

    See the test results http://www.webpagetest.org/result/100812_2T15/

As you can see here http://www.webpagetest.org/result/100812_2T15/1/details/ The time to the first byte for the template generation is huge ( 9756 ms) and css and js optimized file takes 1029 and 1830ms too.
Too much even if you compare with the first version of this template not to mention comparations with other templates.

Your template is set to “Development mode”. In development mode, the performance is not tunned. Disable development mode you will see the difference in performance. Here is your site result after disable development mode: http://www.webpagetest.org/result/100815_2ZET/1/details/

    Hi,

I have made several tests with “Development mode” disabled and they generate different test results that it seems don’t solve the problem.
I haved opened a new thread http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/speed-optimization-tests/ and asked other users to post their test and try to find solutions together.
