    Hello,

On our web site we use joomla 2.5, JA T3V2 and JA Purity II.

I want to test JA T3V3 so I want to know if I can install JA T3V3 in addition of the couple JA T3V2 + JA Purity II ?

    Regards.

    Hello,

JA Purity II do not support T3v3 yet. So you can’t use it with T3v3.

    Hello,

Tanks for your answer and let me clarify the question.

I want to know if it will be any conflict if JA T3V2 and T3V3 are installed in the same web site ?
Is JA Purity II will be confused by installation of both T3V2 and T3V3 ?

What I want to acheived is to assigned some test pages to use T3V3 and blank template to evaluate it on several browsers : chrome, firefox, android, iPhone, …
Then if the tests are fine, I will switch to JA T3V3 and the blank template (or another template design for T3V3)

    Regards.

    Hello bolide,

As I said, JA Purity II do not support T3v3. So if you install T3v3 to JA Purity II, it’ wont work.

I have installed ja_purity_ii, ja_t3v2_blank on a joomla 2.5 system. With that you need the ja_t3v2-plugin.
I have installed on the same system ja_t3v3_blank with the needed ja_t3v3-plugin. Both plugins are enabled.
I have no problem to switch between this two systems.
The only problem is, that there are different positionnames in this two templates. For better switching I renamed some positions.

    Hello,

    I just test T3V3 1.1.0 RC2

    1. Install T3V3
    2. Install T3 blank template
    3. Set T3 blank template as default
    4. Clear joomla cache

Then when I navigate to our site home page I get the following message
“Fatal error: Cannot redeclare t3import() (previously declared in /homez.467/antibest/www/plugins/system/jat3/jat3/core/common.php:26) in /homez.467/antibest/www/plugins/system/t3/includes/core/t3.php on line 31”

I have deactivate extension “JA T3 Framework” and clear jommla cache then our site home page is displayed.

Conclusion JA T3V2 and T3V3 can be installed on the same server but cannot be activated simultaneously because they is a conflit.

    Hi bolide,

It is correct that T3 now have conflict with JA T3v2 if you enable both plugin on the same system.
T3 is now a framework. We have removed all JA prefixes from the T3v3 framework.

All core function of T3 now have t3 prefix (as before we use t3v3 prefix instead) so they have a conflict with JA T3v2 (which have the same function name)

T3 now is different from T3v3.
We have noted those changes in change log.

You can access new T3 document here

    And the source code here

    Hope it helps.

    Hi Wall Crasher

Just a note that those of us moving sites to responsive design templates may need two templates for some time, until extensions catch up.

It is really a big pain that this conflict means we cannot use two Joomlart templates (t3v2 and t3v3) on the same site. If it is a matter of a prefix… can the conflict be fixed?

    Thanks

    Hi elenas,

We decide to rename t3import in new T3 Framework to T3::import
    Please view https://github.com/t3framework/t3/commit/e7aba9fa68eaa4bbd123e2130958519f3cdc35f0

Please check out the latest version of T3 Framework. It will fix the conflict problem.

    Hi Wall Crasher

Ah – you made my day – this is great news!

Sorry to be thick, but I have a question. Are these changes in the current version of T3v3 (v.1.1.0 I believe?) or must we make the changes manually? I have the latest T3v3 but am still experiencing a conflict… so I assume the changes must be manual, but just want to check before I go to work.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi elenas,

I am sorry but those fixes will be included in next release of T3 Framework.
You can check out the latest version in github and overwrite it.
You do not have to do it manually. Just download zip file. Extract and zip only plg_system_t3.
Then go to Extension Manager and install the plg_system_t3.zip.

    Hope it helps.

Thanks so much – got it.

I am trying to use this version with the JA OnePage template, and it seems to not work. I still get the following error:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class T3Path in […]plugins/system/jat3/jat3/core/path.php on line 1250

I have uninstalled/re-installed T3 and the template, with no luck. If you have any suggestions I’d be super-grateful.

    Thanks!

    Hi elenas,

I am sorry that I have though the conflict is only t3import function.
But it is more than that. The new T3 Framework will not work side by side with old T3v2.
There will will be much change if we try to rename all classes and function.

    Your problem seems not fixed.
You can try to rename those by yourself but it will be a long try.

    Sorry again.

    Regards
