Hi,
I had nickel template previously loaded and uploaded Portfolio template instead as well as all the plugins in particular those for JA Tabs.
Module Parameters
When trying to recreate the same effect as what is on the demo for the JA Tabs, in the configuration of the module parameters there is no option to select “tabs” in the “Select a position” option dropdown list. I did review the forums that showed how to create a module position called tabs which I did by simply typing the word into the position section and saving. The attached pics show what I am referring to and I also left it configured to position “tabs” to show that I have in fact successfully created the module position “tabs” even though I know it is supposed to be assigned to content-mass-top.
Advanced Parameters
There is not option to select “Portfolio” in the drop down list for “Tabs style”. See 2nd attachment of screenshot.Bottom line is that I cannot configure the JA Tabs module to reflect the Portfolio demo version, can anyone help?
Many thx

October 21, 2010 at 11:47 am #359831Have you installed the quickstart and compared the settings with that? Nice and simple to install it on your desktop using Wamp or Xampp.
I so wish I was in Sydney right now, it is -3 here at the moment.

October 22, 2010 at 5:52 am #359999Hi Zomby (sounds strange…),
Its a bug and developers are looking into it now.
1. To fix the dropdrop style list – your screenshot 2. Please reinstall the mod_tab and plg_tab, the styles have been updated in the files.
2. To fix the missing tabs position – your screenshot 1
Do the following :
open Your_Site/modules/mod_jatabs/elements/position.php
around line 37 :
find this code :
. ‘ WHERE a.published = 1′
Change to :
. ‘ WHERE client_id = 0′
now check the mod_tab and it should work fine.
As said earlier, developers are looking into it.
Regards
Arvind

Many thx, your suggestion worked, I did as above and it now works, thank you.
Re Phill Luckhurst advice: The reason why I did not use the quickstart is that I already had lots of content and did not want to waste time copying all the content across.
Sydney is beautiful this time of year SPRING and the beach is calling all the time.Big thx
Zomby

October 22, 2010 at 12:32 pm #360096I’ll mark this one as solved.
I don’t know if you’ve ever tried it but you can install any template in just a few seconds on your desktop for testing and comparrisson using the excellent http://www.wampserver.com or Mac users can use http://www.mamp.info . It really is a time saver.
Good luck with your site.
