Hi everyone,
I’ve just installed the new template kulanite with the quickstart. I want to user JA Tabs but i cannot modify the module. When I Save the module nothing happens and i get some javascript errors. After that i cannot cancel or do anything else, i have to restart the administrator.
I cannot provide a link because its local.
Does anyone know this problem?
thanks in advance!

June 28, 2008 at 10:09 am #256879You have to open your configuration page, and to check line in which is path to live URL, it must be same as you write in global configuration of Joomla, for example if you have in config.php http://yoursite.com and you write in global configuration in administration panel of Joomla http://www.yoursite.com then you will get this kind of error.
1. Open your configuration.php with notepad via FTP connection,
2. look for something like this: $mosConfig_live_site = ‘http://www,yoursite.com’; at your case it will be: http://localhost/ or if you have Joomla in some subdirectory then: http://localhost/path to joomla….also, you can use your IP: http://127.0.0.1/path to Joomla/
3. save it.This should solve problem.

June 29, 2008 at 12:30 pm #256991I am having the save problem. Only with save of Ja Tabs module – all other modules save okay.
This is the error I get when I want to save Ja Tabs module:
line: 350
Char : 7
Error: Object doesn’t support this property or method
Code : 0
URL: http//mysite.com/administrator/index.php?
option=com_modules&client=0&task=edit&cid[]=54I have checked the config.php and made changes to live-site path but I find this:
1. Joomla 1.5 config file have:
“var $live_site = ”;
If I change to:
var $live_site = ‘mysite.com’;then joomla breaks, so have to change back to:
var $live_site = ”;Menalto FriendMenalto

June 29, 2008 at 4:14 pm #257015I changed the value in config.php file to
var $live_site = ‘http://www.mysite.com’;
Still no luck saving the Ja-Tabs module
In Ja-Tabs module properties: In Ja-tabs module detailsI , I can change the position to User 7 and save okay
but when I go to change parameters of Ja-Tabs module, to module or even content immediately I get this error:line: 350
Char : 7
Error: Object doesn’t support this property or method
Code : 0
URL: http//mysite.com/administrator/index.php?

June 29, 2008 at 4:31 pm #257017Okay I figured out that this is a problem with Internet Explorer 7 and the way it handles Globals – I think so.
I Used Firefox and can save the Ja-Tabs module with no problem.

June 29, 2008 at 4:39 pm #257018Hi there,
I have also a problem with this…
I’ve installed the “quickstart” (for1.0.x) and there is no any JA Tabs Module on the site…
The module is “published”, the mambot also is “published”…
The thing that I dont understand is why, if I’ve installed the “quickstart”, there is nothing…
I use: FF 3.0; IE7; safari 3.1.1
Please take a look to the files I’ve attached…
Thanks for help you can bring me 🙂-

I tried everything to get JA Tabs to work. It wouldn’t let me save the module. Finally I tried your idea and it worked perfect! I was using IE7 then switched to Firefox. Thanks for the tip!!
