Is it possible JA Tabs to work without Mootools?
If not, is it possible to get the latest/popular articles with the same design, without being in tab.

Yes, you can create a module with type of Articles Category and assign it to ja_tabs position then configure like this: http://static.joomlart.com/images/userguide/ja_templates/ja_magz/latest.jpg

As I can obviously can’t use JA Tabs, as I need to disable mootools in general (it conflicts with Flowplayer), the option to place the module with the same look and feel doesn’t seems very possible (what you suggest is to put it in tabs position again?!?).

Are you planning to remove the mootools dependency?

Ufff, it appears that too many things in Joomlart products are still Mootools dependent, not only the tabs 🙁

Hi,

That flowplayer extension may use jQuery and causes conflict with jatabs. Mootools is still the main JS Framework in Joomla 2.5 so our exts use it.

You can details the error when using flowplayer with our extensions here (or PM me site credentials: admin – ftp account), I will try to check if I can help.
