    we migrated the site from a shared server to vps server.

    after the migration the site stopped working ,

    we try a re installation with quickckinstall when we get if we want to keep the database files , we we answer yes the installation stops.

    we backed the database prior to the move

    our files go back 4 years with a size of 9.gig of our database files were backed up with JA teline III template all modules and plug-ins and our modifications

    was working wonderful till the migration

    any help will be welcome

    1. Stop working – what error occurs? (switch to max. error reporting mode, if you see a blank page)
    2. Have you tried any special tools?

    I also migrated from a shared account to a vps:

    First of all, check if your VPS service offers the migration service, i mean that if you migrate they take care of moving your site from the ols server to the new server. In my case they did that for me

    If that is not the case i hope you didnt cancel your shared account yet, you shouldnt cancel it until you see everything is smooth on the new server.

    If you didnĀ“t cancel, i suggest you use AKEEBA BACKUP FORMERLY JOOMLAPACK.

    l did move from a to b and worked perfect
