Hi,

I am considering using JA Teline 3 (and ofcourse also buying it). I only have some problems with it. I installed it on a test server. This site is the only site on this server. But when clicking around on the website with the JA Teline theme I can bring the server load to 0.40. Server is a AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5600+, 4 Gigabyte of RAM. I used the quickstart install with default data.

For caching I am using XCache and JRE Cache engine, but using these 2 doesn’t make much difference in server load with JA Teline. I am totally amazed by this because I am also trying other themes where they do make a big difference. For example with the JA Nickel theme I cannot get the serverload over 0.03 by myself.

When clicking on links the JA Teline theme is also not very responsive, compared to other themes. Especially the front page is really too slow.

I feel a little bit sorry about this. Because I really liked the JA Teline theme, and it seems very suitable for the site I want to make. But if a handfull of users can get the server on his knees with only clicking around a little bit it’s useless for me. I really hope I am doing something wrong…

I disabled Intensedebate already. It took often 15 seconds to load some comments. Maybe it’s more suitable when server and users of it are in the USA.

update; I also installed Teline 2, it is loading fast. Serverload somewhat higher than with other themes, but acceptable. In Teline 3 I disabled the JA News2 module. Now loadingtimes and serverload are better. Still not as fast as with Teline 2, but it’s almost acceptable. Only the frontpage of the theme is a little bit empty without this module. Am I the only one having problems with this theme and the JA News2 module ?

I gave up myself. I tried everything for some days but without results. It’s simply too slow.
I made a theme myself on modx, it’s fast as lightning 😎 Feel sorry for the time I wasted with Joomla.
