Yes you can change news articles in Joomla

Do you mean the JA News module that display the news? This module just collects the existing articles in the news sections and rotates through them, it isn’t anything more than a display mechanism of what is already there

So the answer is Yes, you can edit, change news articles as per normal in Joomla because its the articles that JA news uses for its feed
