Had problems uploading the JA Terline III template. Unfortunately, still no response from the technical team. Anyway finally got it uploaded; http://www.vivaasiamagazine.com/joomla but now when i try to log into administrator I get the following message Fatal error: Call to undefined function: onauthenticate() in /home/content/o/r/i/origomedia/html/joomla/libraries/joomla/user/authentication.php on line 121

Any ideas on what I should do?

Change the file permissions of the plugin folder to at least 755. The backend should load OK.
Also, there is a thread on Joomla forum.

Dear Mark, Thank you for that answer. Without wanting to appear the complete novice where do i find the option to change the file permissions in the plugin folder?

Install FireFTP for FireFox. Or, if you have web file browser, provided by your hoster, you can do it also there.

Looks like you are struggling with the basics of Joomla. Have yo used it much before (please don’t take that in a patronising way, it can be complicated at first)?

If not then it might be worh purchasing one of these.

If you have a genuine problem with the template then please tell us your support ticket details (where you will have supplied your login details) and we can take a look.

    Dear origomedia,

Thats not the way to share your login details in the forums. You need to read the Support Guidelines to get efficient help here. steps to be followed for passing your login details are mentioned in it.

Hi not taken in a patronizing way at all. Last year I played around with a demo site of JA and found it very simple to use. Before I purchased a membership I enquired whether or not i would be able to simply download the template i wanted and then upload it so it looked exactly how it does in the demo mode and then I was confident that I would be able to make the changes I needed to personalise the site.

Unfortunately, I had quite a lot of difficulty uploading the site. Finally I got it uploaded and then i could not login; whereas when it was not completely uploaded I could login. I ahve now managed to reset the login but it seems that I cannot edit when I go into teh admin. It maybe that I am just missing something very basic in my understanding or more likely when uploading I have missed something out. The ticket number from over the weekend with all my details is NPF-707852.

    Kind regards,

    Jim
