I’ve installed JA Teline III on my website but no modules are showing up after I’ve enabled them.

For example, I’ve activated JANews2 but it’s just appearing on the right as a box with ‘JA NEWS2 MODULE’ written inside.

Has something gone wrong with the template upload – or am I doing something wrong?

    Thanks,

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

Nothing may be wrong. You might just have forgotten to include a very crtical information.

Did you use the QuickStart kit? And followed the browser-based installation instructions? There are seven steps that you must follow properly. It is called browser-based installation procedure because the procedure shows up once you click for the first time

    http://no-quarter.org.uk/

just after you created your database name, username and password, as well as other needed information (FTP user and password).

If you used the QuickStart kit and followed as instructed in the Browser-based installation: Did you load the default sample data in step 6? If you did not upload the sample data, you may get the “blank site” you showed.

The other possibility is that you uploaded only the template.

As your site exist now, you may create Sections, and categories and then articles. Then you have to create the Magazine menu also. Rather very long and tedious process. That is why I found it easier to just uplpad the “Default Sample Data” — then remove the articles later (after I add new articles, rename or create new sections and categories, etc.
